Highlands is the first region in Descenders' Career mode.
The Highlands is a lush and easy region that seeks to introduce the player to the game.
Completing the Boss Track in the Highlands will let the player progress to the next region in Career, the Forest.
Features
These are the features (including start point, end point, and stunts) you can expect to see while roaming the Highlands.

Mini-bosses
These are the Mini-bosses, which give a certain amount of points (indicated in brackets, and before multiplier is applied) when successfully completed.

Boss Jump
The Boss Jump will appear at the Boss Jump node. The player will have to successfully jump the Boss Jump (or skip it by going under the bridge) and reach the end point, in order to progress to the Forest.
There are 3 tricks associated with this Boss Jump:
- Bridge Jump (300 points), which is attained if you successfully jump the bridge,
- Over the Train (400 points), which is attained if the train is passing underneath when you jump the bridge (and you will unlock the The training was worth it achievement),
- Chicken (1 point), which is attained if you avoid the ramp and go underneath the bridge, and you will obtain the Chicken Mask if you do not already have it.

Construction Site
The Construction Site is a Bonus World in the Highlands that features a static construction yard. In this node, the bonus objective is always to reach the top, but the node can be ended by driving through the typical finish gate.
The construction site is indicated on the map by a star, and is generally found on the outer edge of the map, opposite to the Boss Jump node, with some exceptions.
The construction site has a static, fixed seed of 1001.

- To clear up some unusual confusion - no, players do not get the InvisiBike upon completing the bonus objective in the Construction Site.
