Bonus Worlds are handcrafted nodes in Descenders. These are special nodes that have a unique aesthetic and mechanic to them.
Career Bonus Worlds[]
Typically, there is one special node in each region in Career; Career-Plus does not have any special nodes. To locate a special node in any region, divide the map in half horizontally, and look for the node on the outer edge of the map, opposite to the Boss Jump node - the special node will, with a few exceptions, be located along this side of the outer edge. On the cases that it isn't, it will be located at the other side's outer edge instead.
Completing the bonus objective(s) in a bonus world will unlock the ability to play them in Freeride, without the need to key in the seed. Completing all of these 5 Bonus Worlds listed below will award the Go The Extra Mile achievement.

^None of the bonus objectives can be fulfilled on the Hardtail.

Bonus Worlds without a region[]
These special nodes are not tied to a region. The Mt. Palumbo "bonus world" is the main overworld hub, with a seed attached to it to allow players to select it in Freeride or a Casual Lobby.

Bike Parks[]
If any bike parks are marked with these symbols, they are not available on that particular version of the game:
- not available on the Xbox version of the game
- not available on the PS4 version of the game
- not available on the Switch version of the game
- In most cases, missing bike parks will come to their respective platforms within a few weeks; do not attempt to join the track using the seed if it is not currently on the platform.
- In some cases, the bike park is too technically demanding for the platform; hence, some bike parks are not available on the Switch version despite already being out on other consoles.
